After suffering back-to-back defeats in week 12 and week 13, the 49ers finally woke up. HC Kyle Shanahan and QB Brock Purdy instilled the winning confidence in their locker room. And they won the week 14 matchup against the Bears 38-13. But they are in a rough spot ahead of their week 15 game against the Rams.

The QB will be without his key players in the crucial game. OL Ben Bartch (ankle) and tackle Trent Williams (ankle), didn’t practice on all 3 days and were listed ‘out’ of the week 15 game. Their safety Malik Mustapha (chest & shoulder) practiced on Monday and Tuesday. But he didn’t practice on Wednesday after which Kyle Shanahan decided to list him as ‘out’ from the TNF game.

Brock Purdy will miss 4 other players, listed as ‘questionable’. DL Nick Bosa (hip, oblique) and RB Isaac Guerendo (foot) didn’t practice on Monday and Tuesday. They returned to Wednesday practice as a limited participant, but the 49ers listed both as ‘questionable’. Though listed as ‘questionable’, LB Dre Greenlaw (Achilles) might play in the game as, after doing limited practice on Monday and Tuesday, he fully participated in the practice on Wednesday. DL Khalil Davis didn’t practice on Monday but had limited practice on the subsequent days before the Thursday game.

It would be a tough battle between the divisional rivals. The Rams are also without CB Cobie Durant (chest) and TE Tyler Higbee (knee) who are listed ‘out’ of the game. However, the Niners will try to move to 3rd position in the NFC West by winning the game, while the Rams will be keen to gain their 8th win of the 2024 season.
