Caleb Williams is one of the most sought-after quarterbacks in college football now. With the NFL Combine drafts just around the corner, teams are gearing up to sign the best possible talents to their roster. Interestingly, the Chicago Bears have the No. 1 draft pick in the upcoming combine, and they might do the predictable and hire Williams.
However, the QB is taking one step at a time and refusing to reveal all the cards hiding under his sleeve. His 3,600+ yards season with USC is remarkable, but for some reason, he is choosing to stay elusive in the upcoming picks. Ian Rapoport just reported some exciting developments on the QB’s situation.

Rapoport’s post on X reveals that Caleb Williams will not be throwing for teams in the upcoming scouting session. He is reportedly waiting for the Pro Day to throw the ball and hit the workout for the scouting party. He is supposed to be in Indianapolis for the draft, but whether he’ll try to impress the teams is not confirmed.

According to reports, it will be over two weeks before we see Caleb Williams throw the ball. This is because he is waiting for USC to host NFL teams, which would take place after March 20. The first round of the NFL draft will begin on April 25, and the Chicago Bears have their eyes set on Caleb Williams. However, like many other teams, the Bears are facing some problems.

The Chicago Bears are in a QB crunch
A few days ago, Justin Fields reportedly unfollowed the Bears from his Instagram account. There has been some pent-up frustration between the two, and Fields would like to know whether he’s in or out. In a conversation with Amon-Ra St. Brown, Fields mentioned his desire to stay with the Bears. He was also irked with the idea of the Bears eyeing Caleb Willaims.
But he also said that he is eagerly waiting for a decision so that he can plan his future. “I just want it to be over,” he said, adding, “Just let me know if I’m getting traded; let me know if I’m staying.” One thing is for sure: Justin Fields being released from the Bears will have a domino effect on the NFL because many teams are looking for QBs right now, and at one point, Fields was responsible for single-handedly carrying the Bears.
