After his one-year-long move to the Steelers, Russell Wilson is taking time to show the world how actively involved he is with football. He released a video of himself working out, depicting his dedication to doing well in the coming season. Amidst this though, he found time to attend some college basketball games. It’s funny how Russell Wilson isn’t ever seen picking up a basketball, yet he is still there at all the major events.

This time though, he is back at where it all started- the NC State! He played 3 seasons with NC State before he transferred to Wisconsin during his college days. Since then, his career has been propelled so far. However, the Steelers’ new QB didn’t forget his roots and is back supporting the place that made him what he is today. March Madness is on, and recently Oakland played against NC State in a close clash. The game that happened in PPG Paints Arena, Pittsburgh hosted the Steelers’ new QB as their esteemed guest. The caption on the CBS Sports X handle said: “Russell Wilson pulled up to watch @PackMensBballin Pittsburgh.” The video showed Wilson engaging with another individual in a conversation and looking pretty happy about the interaction.

His happiness may be warranted because the former NC State grad witnessed his former college take a win against Oakland. He later shared a video of the NC State players celebrating after they won the game. He captioned it, “Wolfpack” on his Instagram Story. The NC State Wolfpack upset Jack Gohlke’s Oakland Golden Grizzlies, but by a handful of points (79-73).

Now the Wolfpack is in the Sweet 16 and their next game is on 28 March, but their opponent is yet to be determined. People mostly associate Wilson’s college career with Wisconsin, but he had quite a run in his career with NC State.
