In 2000, the Patriots were ranked 10th in terms of net worth before the success that came their way through Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. Similarly, the Warriors in 2009 were ranked tenth in the NBA at $350 million before Steph Curry‘s era.

But years of winning on the field changed their financial statuses. By 2018, the Patriots were second in the league, valued at $7 billion. And the Warriors became the richest franchise in the NBA at $7.7 billion in 2023.
