It seems like Brock Purdy is getting love from all over the sports world! The San Francisco 49ers‘ QB defeated the Detroit Lions in a very close game for the NFC Championship title along with a chance to win the Lombardi Trophy. His ally in this case is Tyrese Haliburton, the Indiana Pacers‘ Point Guard, and a former Iowa State NBA player.
The 34-31 win against the Detroit Lions impressed the Pacers as they decided to show their support to Purdy. After a lot of doubts cast on him, the 49ers QB has once again gained some traction. Indiana Pacers’ recent post shows Tyrese Haliburton repping Brock Purdy in style.

Pacers posted a snippet on X captioned, “Tyrese Haliburton showing love to fellow Iowa State Cyclone, Brock Purdy.” The post contains a photo of Haliburton rocking a Purdy hoodie with a matching beanie as he carries a duffle bag. The photo looked like a snapshot from a video of him walking towards the camera in style, sporting Brock Purdy’s jersey number 13 and team colors red and white.

One would think that this is a random post from Indiana Pacers, but Purdy and Haliburton go way back. And without even the friendship factor, it would have been nice for the Pacers PG to see his fellow Iowa State alum make it to the Super Bowl. A while back in December, the media asked Haliburton about his relationship with the 49ers QB.
“Yeah, me and Brock went to school together, came into school together,” told Haliburton to NBC and added, “We both started as freshmen, and that’s somebody that I could really call a friend. To see what he’s doing and succeeding the way that he is, that’s really cool to see especially being from Iowa State, where it’s not a school that’s expected to have this much success at the professional level in any sport. So, it’s cool to see my brother do well. From the moment that he started; I always was showing him nothing but love.”
While Tyrese Haliburton is suffering from an injury, Brock Purdy has achieved a lot in the NFC title game against the Detroit Lions.

Brock Purdy silenced the naysayers
At some point in the NFC Championship game against the Detroit Lions, there was barely any hope for the 49ers as they trailed by 17 points. But as the game went on, the Detroit team started fumbling as a whole and Purdy took advantage of the situation.
Purdy completed 20 of his 31 passes over 267 yards and had a completion rate of 64.5% when the game came to an end. He was only intercepted once in the game and made it out with a final passer rating of 89.0. Now the Niners are headed to the Allegiant Stadium to play against the Kansas City Chiefs for the title of Super Bowl LVIII, with Purdy hosting major support from the sports world.
