Clark scored 35 points in her final regular season home game, securing her place as the all-time NCAA Division I scoring leader. The historic moment came in No. 6 Iowa’s 93-83 victory over No. 2 Ohio State. Clark’s dynamic playing style has made her a standout in college basketball. Notably, it was two free throws after a technical foul that surpassed Pete Maravich’s 54-year-old record.
In the game, Clark needed 18 points to break Maravich’s total of 3,667 and achieved it with her 35-point performance, bringing her total to 3,685 in 130 games. This milestone came just after she broke Lynette Woodard’s record for major college women’s scoring. Despite a slow start in the game, Clark showcased her scoring prowess and secured her place in NCAA history.
