In a whirlwind of emotions at the American Airlines Center, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce found themselves caught in a crossfire of cheers and jeers. As the final buzzer sounded, the arena pulsated with energy, echoing the city’s love for sports.

Little did they know that this friendly banter would escalate into a fan frenzy during the Mavericks’ game against the Timberwolves.
Today, Mahomes took to social media once again, sharing his firsthand experience of the Mavericks’ electric atmosphere. His tweet read, “Atmosphere was crazy tonight! Go @dallasmavs !!!” The quarterback’s endorsement resonated with fans who packed the arena, creating an auditory storm that rattled the rafters. Travis Kelce takes some from the Dallas fans as the game rages on to a beautiful climax!
The star teammates and reigning Super Bowl champs, when displayed on the Jumbotron in Dallas, received vastly different welcomes from the home crowd. Kelce, who was shown on the big screen first, received a chorus of boos from those in attendance. Moments later, when Mahomes filled the screen, those boos turned into cheers, as the Chiefs‘ quarterback was treated to quite a warm welcome compared to Kelce. The Mavs welcomed them on social media, too, tagging Mahomes and introducing Kelce as Taylor Swift’s boyfriend in a post on X.

As the Dallas faithful spilled out onto the streets, they carried with them memories of a game that transcended boundaries. And somewhere, in the heart of Texas, a Chiefs TE learned that in Dallas, loyalty runs deep–even if it means enduring a few boos along the way!
