Mahomes’ father, Pat Mahomes Sr., is a retired MLB player who played baseball for about 11 years with multiple teams. However, that’s not the sole reason for his interest in baseball. Mahomes, too, in his early days, played the sport with his father and often visited the practice sessions with him. Even today, at the peak of his NFL career, his love for baseball has not waned, as he was recently seen endorsing the MLB series.

During his MLB career, Patrick Mahomes’ father, Pat Mahomes Sr., played with multiple teams, including the Texas Rangers. Hence, the son Mahomes is a superfan of the Rangers and was supporting the team this time in the MLB World Series.

The Rangers won the World Series by beating the Diamondbacks 5-0. Mahomes was really excited and shared it with his fans. Being a superfan, he endorsed the team, “Congrats!! @Rangers,” after their spectacular win.

Besides, Mahomes has more connection with the sport and has also embarked on his ownership toward his love for baseball.

The Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been the minority owner of the Kansas City Royals MLB franchise since July 2020. He has invested approximately $10 million in the team and has bought a 1% stake, making him the youngest owner of the league. Mahomes’ father, Pat Mahomes Sr., was a pitcher in MLB from 1992 to 2003 and often took Mahomes to the camps.

Hence, his interest in the sport developed, and because of this, Pat Sr. wanted him to pursue his MLB career. Mahomes also got an offer from an MLB team, the Detroit Tigers, who selected him (then 18 years old) in the 37th round of the 2014 MLB Draft.

However, he chose the gridiron as his professional career, and the rest is history.
