In the Week 21 episode of the “Let’s Go” podcast with Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray, Tom Brady discussed Patrick Mahomes’s and Lamar Jackson’s incredible performances in their divisional rounds. He also praised the two starting quarterbacks and showed interest in their upcoming battle on Sunday. When asked about “beating” Mahomes and Jackson, Brady gave his honest opinions on the two, citing his earlier matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback during his time.

Brady praised Mahomes for his competitive spirit and ability to perform well in crucial moments. He said, “I like Patrick… He always seems to play his best in the big moments, and even in the Super Bowl, where we got him in when we were in Tampa, he was running all over and ran for 450 yards.

Brady continued, “Horizontally across the field in order to get passes off, and there was kind of an onslaught of pressure. But he still, in those moments, was given the team a chance to win from his athletic ability. His tenacity is competitiveness. He’s got so many intangibles, so beyond the ability to throw the ball, run it when he does.” Brady also praised Mahomes’ performance and running ability in the Bills game, which was a close matchup.
