On ‘The Pat McAfee Show,’ Tom Brady expressed admiration for Jerod Mayo’s return to coaching, deeming it a boon for both the Patriots and the NFL. “Jerod is a great leader, a great Captain, a great friend,” Brady noted, emphasizing Mayo’s comprehensive grasp of football. He praised Mayo’s ability to connect with everyone, from players to coaches, predicting his success in shaping the team’s future.

Brady, acknowledging the inevitability of change in the NFL, shared his enthusiasm for observing the league’s transformations, especially as he prepares for his new role with Fox. He highlighted the challenges all teams face post-season, including the Patriots, as they seek to redefine their strategy under new leadership. He also said, “It’s tough for the Patriots it’s tough for every team in the NFL after two weekends from now it’s going to be tough for 31 other teams for an entire offseason and you know there’s only one great one happy team.” 

The 46-year-old believes that Mayo’s involvement with the team as the head coach is going to do wonders for the Patriots in the coming season. Although the fans are still nostalgic about Belichick’s retirement, Brady is ready to look ahead towards a brighter future. But it doesn’t mean that Brady has forgotten the legendary coaching of Belichick, as he didn’t hold back from paying tribute to the best coach in the league.
