No one can doubt Lamar Jackson’s love for his family. In expressions of gratitude, speeches, or the way he spends most of his time, the Baltimore Ravens QB always keeps his family a top priority. Furthermore, this was evident in the 2020 incident when he dedicated his entire chest tattoo to his family.
Jackson is making headlines after his divisional win over the Houston Texans 34-10. With this win, his team has reached one step closer to winning the Super Bowl title this season. Amidst his MVP talks and the back-to-back wins, Jackson’s fans are also turning their attention to his significant tattoos. Let’s find out what it means!
In April 2020, Lamar Jackson got inked a new tattoo spread across his whole chest, dedicated to his family. The photo of his tattoo was shared by his tattoo artist from Ace of Spades Tattoo Studio in Florida. The artist referred it to as a “monster piece” that commenced just before the quarantine measures were imposed. The artist emphasized the themes of “Faith, Family and Football,” that Jackson wanted to keep on his tattoo. The tattoo includes a white dove, Raven feathers, and the word “Family” with his mother’s name, “Felicia,” underneath.

Felicia Jones has been a pivotal figure in Jackson’s life. She has been his motivation in the NFL career and also works as his agent in contract negotiations. Other side of Felicia’s name, he has inked his name “Lamar.” The word “Truzz” is added just above a circle that is held in two hands. He began saying “Truss” in Baltimore, and running back Mark Ingram II added “Big” to the beginning of the word. However, Jackson usually pronounces it as “truzz,” instead of “truss.”
Furthermore, the Bible verse from Psalm 133:1, which says, “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity,” is written inside a circle. Below the circle, there’s a depiction of the tree with its trunk and roots, and three angles are drawn around it. On the left side of the design, a serenity prayer is engraved: “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.”
