Golf as a hobby is pretty exclusive to quarterbacks. Star players like Patrick Mahomes indulge in golf as a pastime, but so does Tua Tagovailoa. It seems like he’s having a fun time in this off-season as he goes around the golf course with his buddies. Surprisingly, one of them is Min Woo Lee, the Australian PGA Champion.
Maybe the NFL and PGA Tour are in cahoots with each other because they just dropped a video on Instagram, and the crossover couldn’t have been more exciting. We do not see a golfer play catch with the QB regularly. It’s safe to say Min Woo Lee might have figured out a route or two on his own.

Not only did Tua Tagovailoa play golf against Min Woo Lee, but he also won the PGA Cognizant Classic Pro-Am. But it’s his interaction with Min Woo Lee that’s more invigorating. PGA tour and NFL shared a video titled, “@MinWoo27Lee tested his route-running skills today with @TuaMan at the @CognizantClassic 🏈” on X, and it shows Tua Tagovailoa throwing the football to the pro golf player as Lee tries to figure out the best route to get around the ball.

The video starts with Tua throwing the ball to Lee as the golfer catches it. The Dolphins QB called the golfer “Tyreek” as a joke. Lee seems interested in football as he asks to exchange tips with the Dolphins QB.
By the looks of it, Min Woo Lee is already a natural at what he’s doing with the ball. He throws perfect spirals, and even his American friends are shocked at the throw. Woo even commented on the video, saying, “Sub me in coach.” Though football is casual for Lee, it’s much more serious for Tagovailoa for many reasons.

According to sources, Tua Tagovailoa is up for re-negotiating his contract with the Miami Dolphins, and it might also take a toll on the roster. His rookie contract with the Fins has finally ended, and he’ll be making a base salary of around $23.1 million starting this season. That’s particularly problematic for the Dolphins because it might hinder them from signing new talent.

After this new deal, the Dolphins QB is among the top-paid and joined Justin Herbert, Joe Burrow, Jalen Hurts, and Lamar Jackson’s tax brackets. The Fins QB has been leading the league in passing yards as far as the 2023 season is concerned. Hopefully, he’ll make much more of an impact in the coming season.
