In a recent pregame press conference of KC, coach Andy Reid appeared in a Zoom meeting with the media to address the upcoming rivalries and the team’s preparation for it. Reid was also asked about Patrick Mahomes’ legacy and the team’s belief in him. To which the 65-year-old coach replied, along with a five-word message, “We see it every day. We don’t take that for granted.” Well, Mahomes has played a full season’s worth of playoff games, and the same is reflected in the stats.

He continued, “We respect the job that he does and we appreciate it. We know we’re seeing something special and he’s still young in this business so that’s a great thing for the Chiefs, it’s a great thing for the city.” Reid added that Mahomes is somebody they can build the team around, and the team’s GM, Brett Veach, ensures that other positions compliment Mahomes. According to Reid, it’s a positive situation that they are well aware of.

Well, Mahomes and his squad made it to the Super Bowl once again despite having the rockiest regular season, slamming any doubts about their mettle as a team. The quarterback has led five game-winning drives and has four ‘fourth-quarterback comebacks’ in the postseason.

The Chiefs are now set to play against the 49ers in LA, eyeing to win the Super Bowl ring once again, and the team is one step behind from registering their names in the NFL’s history books.
