Gunner Stockton’s parents have a long history of sports. Rob Stockton, the father, has played football during his time. He started his journey in Georgia, where his notable performances led him to end up at the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008. He was the kind of player who has carved his name in the history of football by gaining so much recognition. Back in the day, he earned the title of first-team academic all-American. It was such an honor for Gunner to be called the son of such a great player. High school and college journey

When Gunner was in high school, he received an invitation to the 2022 All-American Bowl, an honorable event that showcased interest in the player due to his incredible performance throughout high school. For a brief period, he committed to South Carolina before flipping it to Georgia. The 6-foot-1, 215-pound quarterback showcased his incredible performance throughout high school, earning him a four-star prospect ranking by 247Sports and the n-0.7 quarterback prospect in the country. His journey in high school secured him a place as 2021’s Georgia Gatorade football player of the year. Right before moving on to his college career, he enrolled at UGA and participated in spring drills. In that game, he completed one pass for nine yards in the bulldog’s G-day intrasquad game.

Since coming to his current place in Georgia, he has created some notable records and garnered so much love from fans all across the globe. During his time at the college, he appeared as a reserve QB and completed 12 out of 19 passes for 148 yards, adding two touchdowns. Meanwhile, in their win against UT Martin, he managed to score three of five passes for 29 yards. The list is long, and to sum it up, it would not be wrong to say that the sports genes he inherited from his parents are playing their part.
