Netherlands romped to the World T20, with an easy win over Namibia.Chasing 136 to win, the Dutch lost Wesley Baressi on the very first ball of the innings but star opener Stephan Myburg and Michael Swart ensured that they reached home without further hiccups.Earlier batting first Namibia got off to a disastrous start as they were reduced to 5/2 in the 2nd over but the pair of Craig Williams and Sarel burger came to their rescue initially and then it was the skipper Nicholaas Scholtz who counter attacked in spectacular fashion to give Namibia a reasonable first innings score of 135/6.Tim Van der Gugten bowled brilliantly for the Dutch as he returned with with 2/22 in his four overs.

The Target never really looked big for the Netherlands as they appaered to be in cruise control throughout the chase ending up as deserved winners. The loss of Wesley Baressi on the first delivery of the innings didn’t hamper the Dutch momentum as Stephan Myburg put a firm hold on the gas pedal with a swashbuckling 31 of 18 deliveries which included 6 crisply struck boundaries. Initially Ben Copper and later on Michael Swart anchored the chase effectively as Max O’Dowd and Bukhari finished off the chase which included some late jitters which however didn’t play any role in the eventual outcome
