NCAA Men’s basketball resumes tonight as the West Virginia Mountaineers take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Mountaineers just dropped to the #14 spot after their loss to Oklahoma Sooners in their last game. It was an embarrassing defeat for them since the Sooners are unranked.
So the Mountaineers go out once again against an opponent from Oklahoma, but an even stronger one this time. They had an impressive season so far, except for their previous game. They are 8-2, and their only other losses have come against stronger opponents like Gonzaga and Kansas.
The Cowboys are about to face their 3rd ranked opponent so far. They are currently 7-2 and had an impressive win over Texas Tech in their last game. The Red Raiders took them to overtime, but the Cowboys were resilient and fought for the win.

NCAA Men’s Basketball: Can the Mountaineers avoid another defeat?
It was a surprising defeat for the Mountaineers, who will be eager to bounce back now. The Mountaineers have been solid defensively and are ranked 13th in the country according to KenPom. They have kept out opponents successfully, and coach Bob Huggins will have some tricks to stop the Cowboys.
Their expected lineup will feature Miles McBride, Taz Sherman, and Sean McNeil as their guards, and Derek Culver and Jalen Bridges as their forwards. Bridges will get his second start of the season, after scoring 19 points last time off of 7-9 shooting.
Oklahoma State will be hoping to get back-to-back wins against ranked opponents to jump up into the Top-25 of the AP Poll. They had multiple changes to their lineup last time and could have an unchanged lineup tonight.

The Cowboys come in with all their hopes on the five-star prospect Cade Cunningham. He is carrying their offense so far, averaging 18.9 points and 3.7 assists per game.
So if gets going, then the Cowboys will be able to pull through with a win. They have a good chance to upset WVU, who are coming off a bad loss. With momentum on their side, the Cowboys will be expected to pull off a narrow win.
