With just seven wins in 13 games, the Duke Blue Devils’ 2020-21 campaign has been unimpressive so far. They haven’t had much to cheer about but the recent form of rookie Jalen Johnson has been exciting. During their game on Saturday against Clemson, he had a vicious poster, showing off his brilliant athleticism.
Former NCAA star Da’Sean Butler and analyst Rob Dauster were also left impressed by the dunk, and they recently discussed this “murder” during a podcast. Butler said, “That dunk was really, really good. It looked bad as soon as the guy bumped into his right leg. By the end, it was like ‘Damn bro’… This screamed, ‘I wanna be on a poster.'”

Dauster then praised Johnson’s athleticism and said, “Jalen Johnson can quite literally jump three feet higher than that kid. You have no chance of doing anything other than getting utterly humiliated by going and trying to block that shot.”
Butler replied by saying it was the player, PJ Hall’s own fault for the poster. He said, “He curled up afterward and when he fell. I don’t even feel bad for that kid. He brought it on himself. You could have avoided that today. You ran into that.”
Our @TheDaSeanButler and @RobDauster discuss the murder committed by Jalen Johnson and try to figure out just what in the world that poor soul on Clemson was thinking.

Will Jalen Johnson’s form help the Duke Blue Devils to have a respectable finish?

The five-star prospect Johnson rejected offers from a lot of colleges, including Kansas, Ohio, and Wisconsin to join Duke. He had a spectacular debut, finishing with 19 points and 19 rebounds, while shooting 100% from the field. He also had five assists and a whopping four blocks in that game.
But Johnson was unable to follow that debut with similar results and struggled. He was eventually benched, but then during a game against the Pittsburgh Panthers, he returned to form with a strong 24 point performance off the bench. Since then he has improved a lot, but the team has been unable to rally behind his effort.
They won two games on the trot, before losing to the Miami Hurricanes in their last game. They face rivals North Carolina in their next game on Saturday and will hope to improve. Despite their struggles, this fixture always has high stakes, so the Blue Devils will hope to do their best.
