Many college basketball fans were disappointed when top prospect Cade Cunningham joined the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Despite offers from some top colleges, he chose the Cowboys because of his brother, who is an assistant coach there.
As his freshman season comes to and, Cunningham is currently leading the team to a historic run. Last night, they beat the Baylor Bears, the #2 team in the country. It was a huge upset win and Cade starred with 25 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists.

This win now makes it their 6th-ranked win in the last 19 days. This is the 2nd-shortest span a team has ever taken to win beat 6 ranked opponents.
Only the 2010-11 UConn Huskies had a better run, when they managed the same feat in 18 days. That Huskies team went on to win the NCAA title later.
This is a unique record and Cowboys fans will eager to see their team pull off what the Huskies did.

Will the Oklahoma State Cowboys emulate the UConn Huskies run?
While they may be behind the Huskies in the record they achieved last night, the Cowboys will aim to emulate their historic run.
Both teams entered their conference tournament as the unfavored team. The Huskies were the 9th seed, and the Cowboys are the 5th seed. While the Huskies won the tournament, the Cowboys are one win away.
They will face the Texas Longhorns in the final tonight, as they hope to win their first conference tournament since 2007. They have six more games to win if they win tonight, so it is a daunting task. But the Cowboys have been fearless this season.

Led by upcoming superstar Cunningham, the Cowboys have gone beyond expectations. They have achieved their highest AP Poll position since 2013-14 and are a dark horse entering the NCAA tournament.
The big bucks will be on the Gonzaga Bulldogs and the Baylor Bears, but one cannot rule out the Cowboys, especially considering this recent form. With the season coming to an end, Cunningham is doing his best to impress the NBA scouts before he declares.
