The Class of 2025 prospect has received offers from Ohio State and Duquesne, and now, fans are wondering if Arizona might be next on the list. Bryce James’ recent visit to the University of Arizona stirred up a lot of chatter. When he posted a picture of his visit alongside his mom, Savannah James, fans and analysts alike were quick to speculate.

Could Arizona be where Bryce starts his college basketball career? After all, the Wildcats are a strong program, having made it to Sweet 16 multiple times. They’ve had their ups and downs this season but remain a prestigious choice for any top prospect.

However, Savannah squashed the rumors before they could spiral. She took to her Instagram story and wrote, “#notcommitted.” For now, it seems the Arizona visit was just that—a visit. Still, the Wildcats have plenty to offer.

What’s your perspective on:

Will Bryce James choose Ohio State to honor his dad's legacy, or carve his own path?

Have an interesting take?

Arizona’s interest comes as Bryce’s stardom continues to rise. Though he’s currently ranked as a 3-star recruit, James is developing his skills as a 6-1 shooting guard. His development has been steady, especially considering the competitive environment he’s been a part of. The baller started at Sierra Canyon School in Los Angeles, a powerhouse known for producing elite athletes like JuJu Watkins.

However, his high school journey hasn’t been without its turns. He transferred to Notre Dame/Sherman Oaks briefly before returning to Sierra Canyon. At Sierra, Bryce has shared the court with top talent, including his older brother Bronny James — who just made his NBA debut alongside LeBron, creating history as the first father-son duo to share the court.

Bryce’s Arizona visit is one of several stops Bryce has made while weighing his options. His first Division I offer came from Duquesne University, where his dad’s high school coach, Keith Dambrot, led the program until last season. Then came the Ohio State offer, which seems to hold sentimental value given LeBron’s ties to the Buckeyes. While Arizona remains an exciting option, fans have their bet on another one.

Fans are convinced Bryce James Is going to Ohio State

If you thought Bryce James’ Arizona visit sparked a frenzy, you haven’t seen the hype surrounding his Ohio State connection. Bryce attended a Buckeyes football game against Maryland, donning a red Ohio State jersey and sharing the moment with his mom. His Instagram post from the visit captioned, “Buckeye Nation ⚪️🔴 how we feeling?”

To top it off, he also shared a photo with Ohio State men’s basketball head coach Chris Holtmann. Ohio State has every reason to appeal to Bryce. For starters, it’s his dad’s unofficial alma mater. LeBron James has made it no secret that he would’ve played for the Buckeyes if he hadn’t gone straight to the NBA out of high school.

For LeBron’s son, suiting up for Ohio State could mean continuing the family legacy in their home state, Ohio. This storyline is almost too good to pass up. The Buckeyes are also a program with a strong basketball tradition. Bryce wouldn’t be stepping into uncharted territory. They even offered him a scholarship. “Blessed to receive an offer from Ohio State #GoBuckeyes,” Bryce announced on social media. Fans aren’t the only ones hoping for an Ohio State commitment. The insiders reportedly feel that this is where he’s headed.

Still, it’s worth noting that Bryce has kept his options open. Alongside Arizona and Ohio State, Duquesne remains in the picture. The connection there is also a bit personal because of coach Dambrot. While Duquesne doesn’t have the same national spotlight as Ohio State or Arizona, it could offer Bryce the chance to shine in a way that’s harder at larger programs.
