Another day, same drama, Paul Finebaum loves being the center of attention now and then. Calling Kalen DeBoer “Overrated” seems quite delusional after seeing Kalen’s track records and what he did for Washington and Sioux Falls. As the 2024 season approaches several speculations are made around how Alabama’s season will look under new HC Kalen DeBoer, but nothing is far from the truth as the team and its star player Jalen Milroe get higher rank in terms of performance.
Regardless of the rankings, players like Jalen Milroe are unpredictable. Tim Watts talks about it in today’s episode of On3 mentioning how building a strong offense line with Jalen Milore can contribute to their win in the coming season. As the Associated Press poll is out, and of course it will not accurately predict the final rankings for the season or the final College Football Playoff rankings. But if it did, Alabama’s will probably be at the top.

A year back Jalen Milore, Alabama quarterback finished sixth in the Heisman Trophy, but there could be more coming under new coach Kalen DeBoer. Even his teammate believes the same as in a recent conversation with the SEC media, Tyler Booker said Milroe would “go to a whole new level” in DeBoer’s system. He also mentioned how Kalen DeBoer allows Jalen to be himself. Towards the end of the year when Jalen started playing his game, that’s when we came to know he is best at running. Well, if that’s not good mentoring, then what is?
Is it going to be Sioux Falls all over again for DeBoer?

DeBoer keeps telling Jalen every day how much confidence he holds in him. He feels what separates Jalen Milroe from others is his acceptance and how he handles the running ball in the field. More or less DeBoer’s offensive administration could give Jalen a chance to be explosive as he lets him play his game. It all depends on him now.
What’s your perspective on:
Is Paul Finebaum right about Kalen DeBoer being overrated, or is he missing the bigger picture?
Have an interesting take?
Jalen Milroe was a promising quarterback against the Ole Miss Rebels. He threw for 225 yards and had an 81% completion percentage on his touchdowns. That performance led to an amazing end of the season for Jalen. He and the Crimson Tide defeated the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship Game and got a spot in the College Football Playoff. However, they ultimately lost to the Michigan Wolverines, but the overall gameplay was commendable. This year, Jalen Milroe is considered as one of the top players for the Heisman Trophy but Paul Finebaum has a cryptic take on it. Paul thinks he will be a contender, but if the Crimson Tide is not a playoff team, Milroe will not have any shot. Well, it depends on how Kalen DeBoer uses him in the game and also on how he plays. But if they fail, certainly there is no shot.
