Shedeur Sanders needs to be quicker in throwing! Colorado’s game against their first Big 12 opponent, Baylor, brought out some fantastic highlights. For instance, Shedeur’s Hail Mary pass and Travis Hunter’s last-minute forced fumble in overtime that led the Buffs to a 38-31 victory are both wild plays. But it was far from a good play by the offense and a CFB insider voiced alarm for Shedeur Sanders and the Buffs ahead of their UCF matchup.
Joel Klatt said what he had to say about Shedeur Sanders on The Joel Klatt Show on YouTube on September 24. He lauded Colorado’s defense in comparison to a year ago but he raised his concerns on the offense. Klatt pointed, “It’s still a combination of poor play by their offensive line and Shedeur holding the football. Shedeur Sanders has got to throw the football quicker. He holds it way too long.” Then he emphasized, “You just can’t do that. You just cannot do that.”

Colorado’s O-line still needs to buck up. Despite their stellar highlights and the final scoreboard result, we can’t deny that Shedeur Sanders holds the ball too long despite knowing how weak their O-line is. As a result, he was sacked eight times in the game as the O-linemen failed to block the Bears’ defensive attacks.
Aside from this flaw, the Buffs QB has shown his mastery over the game through his arm strength and accuracy with his 43-yard Hail Mary pass to LaJohntay Wester. He completed the game after passing for 341 yards and two touchdowns. But is it enough to snatch another win over the Knights who are coming in with an unbeaten 3-0 record?

After that close overtime win against Baylor, Deion Sanders is prepared to do whatever is necessary to make a change. This would include replacing players who aren’t showing their eagerness in practice. He’s just making sure Colorado is prepared enough when they meet Gus Malzahn and his team on the road.
Colorado is a 14-point underdog to enter Saturday’s game in Orlando. Still, UCF HC has high praise for Deion Sanders and his team. He said, “What I admire about him is that he does it his way. The juice and attention he brings to our league is really good.” Malzahn also gave a shout-out to Shedeur Sanders, who is able to remain calm under pressure. But he and his team are focused on applying pressure to him to crumble Colorado’s offense. Will Shedeur Sanders learn from the eight sacks last game and not hold the ball for too long?
