Yeah, you gotta hop off that ‘Cloud 9’ someday. With the game against UCF wrapped up, Deion Sanders has found all new confidence in his team and his son, Shedeur Sanders. You cannot really blame him, though. After the close win against Baylor, Shedeur Sanders shined against the Knights. He was well-protected and made solid passes from the pockets. And all this glory probably made Coach Prime a little blind.
On October 3, Miami Herald Sports took to X to share what Deion Sanders had to say about Shedeur and his NFL draft. “‘Shedeur to the Dolphins.’ Deion Sanders insinuates that the Dolphins should draft his son,” the Miami Herald noted in the caption of their post. The Dolphins fans, on the other hand, were not having it. “Sanders would have rib injuries in no time with the way he stands in the pocket,” one fan was quick to point out.

Doesn’t matter with the quality of OL and TEs being assembled since Grier/Mike hooked up. Sanders would have rib injuries in no time with the way he stands in the pocket.

Shedeur is in a weird spot right now. There is no doubt that this guy has all the tools to become one of the best-starting QBs in the NFL. However, it’s his pride that often makes the average fan turn a blind eye. Take the Bears game as an example. Most of the credit, or the hype after that game was wrapped up, went to Travis Hunter and the final fumble he managed to pull during overtime.
But did you ever wonder how the Buffs even made it to the overtime? Yeah, give that credit to Shedeur. This guy, with barely 2 seconds left on the clock, managed to land an accurate 43-yard pass from a collapsing pocket to LaJohntay Wester. A Hail Mary in all of its glory, but one that managed to help the Buffs drag the game long enough.
Yeah, we do agree that Shedeur is going to have a hard time in the NFL, but you also gotta keep in mind that NFL analyst Daniel Jeremiah pointed out that Shedeur has an amazing ability to take hits and shrug it off. The entire “rib injuries” part feels like an outcry. However, let’s take a look at what others had to say about the entire scene.

Shedeur Sanders: A worthy candidate or cannon fodder?
One fan was quick to note, “Stay off our side Prime Time. Please.” This is kind of hilarious. You gotta keep in mind that Deion Sanders is probably joking about the entire scene. We do know that the Dolphins will probably get the second pick during the 2025 draft. However, the chances of Shedeur landing up on that team are kind of low.
We have talked about this before; Jerry Jones (owner of the Cowboys) genuinely wants Shedeur on his team. The QB woes that the Cowboys are dealing with right now can only be fixed by grabbing a young talent like Shedeur. Another fan had a dramatic response to the entire thing. “Please God NO!!!!” they wrote on X. Calm down, fella. Nothing is written in stone.

Shedeur could easily be picked up by the Cowboys (as we noted before) or even the Raiders. Deion and Raiders HC Antonio Pierce have a good connection and Coach Prime has said before that his boys would love to play under Pierce. Finally, a fan noted, “Nah we want Killa Cam”. Cam Ward is quite the option for the Dolphins. This guy is sitting on top of the Heisman ladder because of everything he has managed to pull for the Hurricanes. But as this entire “Dolphins” discussion goes on, why don’t you tell us where you’d want Shedeur to land?
