Will Alabama's offense crumble without Kadyn Proctor against South Florida? What's your take?

Alabama Crimson Tide is continuing their season without the striking contribution of starting left tackle Kadyn Proctor. The 19-year-old is down with a grave left arm injury. During the opening game against Western Kentucky, one of the most reliable players on the team, Proctor, was seen in a sling on the sideline.

That said, Kadyn Proctor completed the pregame warmups before taking off with the trainer. But the return was in an esque we had least expected.

While the sight of the sling is still building up tension among fans concerning the Young Prodigy’s current momentum, let’s judge the odds of his return possibility in the upcoming match against South Florida next week.

The prospect of Kadyn Proctor’s return to South Floria in Bama’s next game: Analyzed

Kadyn Proctor’s injury instilled deep upset to the team for obvious reasons. The star O-lineman was meant to be the safety net for the edge as well as QB Jalen Milroe’s blindside. So, it will hit a low point on the offensive line for sure.

While the recent update suggested that the injury is thankfully not so massive that it will take a long time to heal, the return date of Alabama’s hottest sensation is still up in the air.

Have an interesting take?

Coach Kalen DeBoer cleared the air on the team’s stance on the ‘Shoulder Situation’ to some extent, noting, ‘we will able to manage‘. But he significantly avoided uttering a word about whether Kadyn Proctor was going to show up in UA’s Saturday matchup against South Florida.

To sum up all the low downs and the native, it’s pretty clear that his return will solely depend on the specific injury nature and the close tally between the risk factor in bringing him in half-fit and missing him out for a few more matches for a better resurgence.

But as far as the team is concerned, they will certainly have tons of edge rushers to back the condition up. Not having Proctor around might be a loophole, but it is not a new hazard to deal with, at least.

Proctor was out of the line-up throughout the spring to taste the water at Loa for some time before returning to his old home.

After a quick entrance into the transfer portal, the player was firm on his decision to jump ship. However, within just half a month of tenure at Loa, the true freshman realized where he had gone wrong and immediately made a reverse decision. Adding to his discontent with the new team at his home state, Kadyn Proctor also felt he should be more patient with his former coach, DeBoer, and the team. He didn’t even let DeBoer have a final word with him before parting ways. Consequently, over the summer, the needle mover was back to the old pavilion with a lot of hesitancy and guilt swirling over his mind. But DeBoer was too kind to let him stick to that awkwardness for long.

In a recent interview with the Alabama media after his first match since the return, the phenom detailed how his former coach welcomed him with open hands and just a simple apology.

In the offseason, he returned the favor by building into a solid young offensive tackle for the team.

While not playing against South Florida sounds feasible (certainly not desirable), it will be really huge if Proctor misses his stint again for the entire session.
