Alabama football is continuing its winning streak with toppling South Florida in a close game last night. That said, they are losing their assets. Offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor is still on the shelf, after missing the USF game with a left shoulder injury. Adding to the odds, the Tide dropped another formidable talent, Cole Adams, after the WR genius fell victim to an arm injury. During the smashing session opener, the starting punt returner left the field with visible pain written on his face by the fourth quarter.
Everyone was curious about his rebound during the match against South Florida this Saturday. But Adams didn’t pop up anywhere on the field, palpably indicating the severity of the situation. Now it begs the most sought-after question: Will he be able to upswing and make waves in the offensive line in the Bama’s next battle against Wisconsin? Let’s judge the odds.

Adams was spotted walking off the field at Bryant-Denny Stadium with a shrunk wrist on his way to the medical tent. Mike Rodak of 247Sports’ Alabama affiliate, Bama247, suggested after the primary nursing, Adams visited the locker room with a towel over his head and his right arm in a sling. The trivia immediately raised concern among the netizens and fans. Coach Kalen DeBoer didn’t give away much on this, noting he doesn’t have much clarity except the fact that it was an arm injury, but the tension persists.
Adams caught one pass for five yards and let his body suffer in the process, but on the flip side, Tide’s reception drive received a much-needed boost from it. It won’t be easy to imagine a match without Adams in the lineup. Still, we must yield to the reality which is solely dependent on how fast the injury spreads up or heals up in the remaining days before the next game kicks in. Coach DeBour noted the team will have a keen eye on the development of the situation.

Cole Adams came off as a 4-star recruit out of Owasso, Oklahoma, in the class of 2023. He made quite a good impression on the initial sessions on the campus. Delivering copiously through two late-season games against Kentucky and Chattanooga last year, Adams cemented his place in the team as a prominent red-shirt freshman. His sharp routes, good hands, and insane speed picked up from an innate athletic background stunned the wide receiver coach JaMarcus Shephard, who specifically took notice of Adams’ grit and resilience and had some high words for the same. He deemed the young prodigy as the perfect filly to the long-standing void in the mid-routes of the team.
