The Vanderbilt head coach Clark Lea has that classic yet cute boomer dad social media profile. And we are all for it. At 42 years old, Clark Lea has been the head coach of Vanderbilt Commodores. Ever since he took office for Vanderbilt in 2021, after being hired as the 29th head coach of Vanderbilt football, Lea wasted no time in embarking on rebuilding the culture of his alma mater. Well, in a stunning turn of events, Lea’s Vanderbilt has defied expectations in their fourth season, defeating SEC powerhouse Alabama 40-35 and improving their overall record to 3-2. 

Sure, Clark loves to boast about his team’s record—he’s really proud of it. Though he keeps most of his personal life under wraps, his passion for Vanderbilt football and his love for his family are hard to miss. And let’s not forget his wife, Allison Lea. She’s been a huge supporter of his career, and she deserves just as much recognition.

Clark and his wife Allison, have three children, eldest son Clark III (or “C3” as dad calls him), daughter Mara, and “Baby” Jack. Allison is often spotted around her coach husband, almost looking like an extension of his coaching staff. The proof is in pictures with his wife and kids on social media captioned under, “Football is Family” which is a depiction of the HC’s true love.

Even though Mrs. Lea does not operate social media, the HC doesn’t shy away from praising his wife and kids on digital community networking platforms. As a result, his Instagram is being filled with posts about his family and Vanderbilt football. And he often writes things like, “My family is your family. We’re so excited to be home!” In fact, he posted that when he signed on as Vanderbilt’s head coach, along with a picture of his wife and kids.

The Vandy coach also shares a great bond with his kids. He, along with his eldest son, used to be regulars at the Irish hockey games in Notre Dame. However, y’all can see the Lea family is not very fond of the camera. Allison’s life stays out of the public eye, but she plays a significant role behind the scenes as the family’s anchor, while Clark navigates the pressures of coaching in the SEC.
