A strict and dedicated coach like Nick Saban spent his 17 years at Alabama and you never saw that guy receive calls during practice, even if his mother’s call. So, you can imagine the bond Nick shares with his mother. In the context of receiving the call, once Saban said, “Yes, she really called me during practice to tell me she made a hole-in-one.“, as per the report from Brett McMurphy of the Action Network. Nick’s mother, Mary Saban Pasko, worked at CB&T Bank and the West Virginia Secretary of State Department. She was born in July 1932 in Michigan, but spent most of her life in West Virginia.

After transferring to West Virginia, Mary met Nick Saban Sr. when both of them were in Farmington High School. Later, they tied the knot and started to live happily with two kids together named Dene and Nick Jr., who works for ESPN presently. Unfortunately, in 1973, Saban Sr. died of a heart attack.
Then, at a high school reunion, Mary met with Bobby Pasko and married him. After the death of Bobby, she moved to Birmingham with her two children. So, the life path was not as smooth as water for Nick’s mother, but you have to agree with me that this lady went through a huge experience in life. Following such a tragic loss, we all hope for peace for Saban’s family.
