Michael Carroll is a boy you’re going to remember for a long time. Standing at a beastlike 6’6 and weighing around 315 pounds, watching Carroll on the field is a treat to your eyes. During his time at IMG, he built an image as a relentless competitor. Whether it was about crushing top-ranked opponents or leading his team into success with a calm, focused mindset, Carroll slowly turned into the guy scouts should stop praising. Soon after that, offer letters from elite programs started popping up in his email. Some of them were Alabama, Penn State, Michigan, Georgia, and many more.
Finally, on June 10, 2024, Michael Carroll made it official! he’s rolling with the Tide, and the Bama fans can’t get over him. He’s an already established star and when a talent like him picks Alabama, you know how much buzz creates with the fans. The Crimson holds a legacy of not only recruiting players but also building future NFL stars, and Carroll has all those resources to be one of them.
The Bama commit comes from a family with a football legacy. Contrary to Michael Carroll (Jr), his father, Michael Carroll, lined up in the defense (linebacker) and featured for Penn State. Imagine having Penn State legacy and you end up at Bama. That’s a huge streal for Bama O-line coach Chris Kapilovic and Kalen DeBoer. So what’s more special about him? The answer is his versatility while being on the field. in run blocking, he’s like a bulldozer, crushing the way forward to drive through. In pass protection, Carroll’s footwork and observation make him a wild nightmare for defenders trying to break through.

As a result of his excellence, Carroll is ranked as the No. 1 interior offensive lineman in the country by 247Sports and the No. 13 overall prospect in the 2025 class. Not only that, but as per most of the top recruiters, Carroll was ranked as a top prospect in the state of Florida. Now, every other team wants a guy like him by their side.
By putting an end to all the pursuers who are trying to lure his commitment, Carroll said, “I’m 100 percent committed to Alabama,” he said. With Carroll’s addition, Alabama got two five-star linemen in their 2025 recruiting class. Besides that, Carroll showcased his impact beyond the field with a NIL valuation worth $760,000.
However, to add to Kalen DeBoer’s existing worries, Carroll has been flirting with several other schools, including Colorado. He even visited Coach Prime’s program recently. Does that mean a flip? Well, not yet.
