Matthew Sluka is an American football quarterback for the UNLV Rebels. The junior player is from Locust Valley, New York, and went to Kellenberg Memorial High School. Matthew Sluka started his football career playing for Holy Cross for four years under the FCS program. During his time at school, he ran for 3583 yards with 38 touchdowns. He was also ranked fifth in passing for 5916 yards with 59 touchdowns. However, he also played for Kellenberg Memorial High School in New York. During his junior year at Kellenberg, Skula also received back-to-back wins in the seasons. There, he also earned various titles and awards like All-New York State and All-Metro honours under Catholic High School Football League AA, which is a big milestone at such a young age. Matthew’s promising field records helped him become a top-ranking recruit for the UNLV Rebels. 

Following this, Matthew Sluka was a highly accomplished dual-threat quarterback in his freshman year. As a quarterback, Sluka secured an NCAA Division No. 1 record rushing for 330 yards against Lafayette. Matthew Sluka received various awards and titles during his senior year, including multiple All-America honors. He was also awarded with Offensive Player of the Year title in the Patriot League 2023. Apart from his professional football career, Sluka also has a keen interest in studies. Matthew pursued a bachelor’s degree in psychology in high school.
