He is always ready to go all the way in. In this Orange Bowl, Corso was dressed as a leprechaun. When most people his age refused to leave their seats, the legend was caught by the Notre Dame mascot and he was dancing alongside before he hit the ground. However, to be able to enjoy life one must have a driving force fueling the YOLO spirit in him. In Corso’s case, it’s his loving wife and family.

As we all know Corso is known by his nickname “Sunshine Scooter.” He earned the title for his speed and setting up his career interception record in Florida State. However, to this date, Corso radiates sunshine wherever he goes. Now you must be wondering what’s the source of the sunlight. It’s none other than the love of his life, his wife, Betsy Youngblood. But the couple has stood strong as each other’s pillar since they tied the knot in 1957. So, their marriage has been running for 68 years. WOAH! Youngblood has been beside Corso through thick and thin. She supported her husband through his illustrious American Football playing for quarterback and cornerback in Florida State. Later on, when Corso switched to his coaching career and finally to his current broadcasting ventures, she saw it all.  However, it definitely must not have been easy for the duo. But at last, love won. Corso is now a big name in college football. Not just the sport, he prospered as an entrepreneur too and his estimated net worth as of 2024 is $12 million. This accounts for both broadcasting ventures and endorsements. He bagged deals from big-shot brands like Nike, Coca-Cola, and Home Depot.

Corso’s son, Dan Corso followed in his father’s footsteps. He is now the President of the Atlanta Sports Council. He joined the Council in 1999 after serving as Vice Chair of the Festival Division for the 1998 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. The organization’s mission is to facilitate the growth and development of sports in metro Atlanta. They also ensure to contribute towards improving the quality of life for residents in the region through sports. Since Corso himself has been into philanthropy, supporting various charities and causes, this might have inspired Dan to take up this role.

And what about Corso’s other children? Well, his daughter Diane Corso has kept himself away from the spotlight that her father and brother enjoy. Instead, she has created an identity for herself beyond sports. She is into writing and is a prominent author. But like Corso, she too tries to contribute to society through her writing, advocating for eating disorder awareness. While Diane was expecting her triplets, she herself struggled with compulsive eating patterns.

However, when it comes to Lee Corso’s family, there have been tough times too. Back in October, the analyst was spotted donning a pin in one of the College GameDay episodes. An emotional Corso then revealed, “I’m wearing this pin — support brain cancer research. My granddaughter had a tumor removed from her brain. She’s all right now, but in support brain cancer research I’m wearing this pin.” That’s how close-knit the Corso family is.
