During that tough time, his high school coach encouraged him to play basketball at college. 

After a tremendous struggle, he entered college, and at that time, his mother stayed with him in an off-campus apartment for three years. Alongside, Dabo did many low-wage jobs to fulfill necessities during the summer of his sophomore year. Meanwhile, he played baseball and football, did an MBA and even thought to be a doctor. That is why the brave lady made a decision regarding preventive double mastectomy and hysterectomy to prevent the chance.
