“Having shared interest strengthens the bond and sustains the relationship.” Brock Vandagriff and his girlfriend exemplify this. They both have a deep interest in the competitive sports world. However, a negligible difference is there! While his girlfriend plays soccer well, Brock pursues his interest in gridiron. But both of them are pros in their respective field.

With victories in the Orange Bowl and Peach Bowl, Brock made a significant contribution to Georgia’s back-to-back national championship victories in 2021 and 2022 as a backup QB. By 2023, Vandagriff was competing with Carson Beck and Gunner Stockton for the starting quarterback spot in a cutthroat environment. But his excellence and ambition led him to the transfer portal, and he joined Kentucky Wildcats.

It turns out the Kentucky star’s love interest is a talented soccer player for the Samford Bulldogs: Layton Glisson. After graduating from Auburn University, she plans to pursue a career in sports broadcasting, with a focus on communication and journalism. Born on July 5, 2002, in Dacula, Georgia, Glisson attended Hebron Christian Academy and started her soccer journey. 

The most intriguing fact is that Layton met Brock at the Christian Academy and enhanced their bond even more by highlighting their common ideals, sports interests, and personal convictions. Back on June 13, on their 5th year anniversary, she shared a picture of them on her IG account with a very lovely caption, “5 years with my favorite fishing guide! Life’s pretty fun with you, and many more years to come of you constantly getting my line unhung. I love you!💛” Even the Kentucky Wildcats QB responded to it, saying, “Wouldn’t trade it for the world!! 💙” It seems like the QB has finally found someone as passionate as him.

Prepped at Hebron Christian Academy, Layton accumulated 101 points during her senior season. In addition, she played club soccer at the United Futbol Academy. She played her freshman campaign at Auburn and there she logged a season-high 27 minutes against Alabama A&M. In total, she appeared in 10 matches and finished that season with five shots. 

In 2022, in her sophomore year, she recorded assists in back-to-back games against Mercer and The Citadel in the SoCon Tournament. Along with that, she earned her first-ever multi-goal game after scoring a brace against VMI. In 2023, in her junior year with the Bulldogs, she played in 14 games, including one start. Furthermore, she tallied a goal in the 3-2 double overtime win over Chattanooga in the quarterfinals of the Southern Conference Tournament for Bulldogs. Currently, she is preparing for her next challenge.
