The Fidone family is a very big sports-oriented family. Salvatore II and Shirley are his grandparents; they had four sons. Salvatore III, Rich, Mark, and T.J. All his uncles have kids, and most of them are pursuing athletic careers. When he was young, he used to compete with his cousins; one of them was Gianni, who played football for Council Bluffs Lincoln. His other cousin, Salvatore IV, is a track and field athlete who runs track for South Dakota. His third cousin Luciano, who is known as Luuci, completed his senior year with Lewis Central.

He was very close to his uncle Salvatore III, who was killed in a road accident in 2017. His uncle worked for the City of Omaha. The player has often mentioned how much he misses his uncle. He saw his uncle as a second father; he was very attached to him, so much so that he had a tattoo inked on the left side of his chest in his honor. For him, sports play a major role in bringing his family together. He grew up watching and playing with his cousins and has so many lovely moments to cherish forever.
