Can Maryland pull off the upset of the season against the undefeated Oregon Ducks?

Dan Lannings’ Oregon Ducks have predictably been at the top of the playoff ranking, as released last week. They have already had a lot on their plate. But the chase is not over. The 9-0 season topper is looking to make it their historic 10-0 start since 2012. The Terrapins, on the flip, had not had a very smooth season so far and will hope to leave a mark against an A-lister team like Oregon this weekend. Despite the huge difference in the performance stat and the overall motive of the clash, the game will be more than a lopsided call because, at this point in the season, every team will treat each game as their last shot to survive the big ten hope. The Autzen Stadium will have its topsy-turvy moments to keep the crowd on its edge before the scoreboard wraps up the fight. But do you know who will lend their voices to narrate the dynamic of the week 11 showdown?

Oregon has been a relentless force for the past month. The Ducks took care of their business each game and walked out with a standout victory. They closely toppled Ohio State at 32-31, showcased utter dominance against Purdue at 35-0, beat Illinois at 38-9, and stretched up to 38-18 against the Wolverines. It would be a hard, shallow pill if Maryland breaks its undefeated streak and plays its best game in the season, but it wouldn’t be totally absurd. The rest you will have to pick up live on Big Ten Network with Jeff Levering and Jake Butt pulling off bangers from the announcer’s table.

The legendary duo will certainly add that extra flair to the core game nitty gritty. Levering has had his incredible years as the play-by-play announcer for the Milwaukee Brewers. But he graced the BTN and Fox studio during the college football season.

On the other hand, Boot had a well-documented on-field record as a prolific Tight End of the Michigan Wolverines before he turned his focus to professional broadcasting with Big 10. Within a brief time span, the former athlete successfully channeled his boundless passion and experience into the sports as the notable color commentator. People crave to hear more from him as every minute analysis holds a depth of another level. The duo will have their sensational commentary session, making the uneven fight a fun watch.

Coming to the crux of the game, Maryland has a few strengths to flex against the 24-point home favorite, and coach Mike Locksley isn’t exaggerating the opponent’s high-esteemed rank and philosophy.

Maryland HC Mike Locksley isn’t exaggerating the power clash against the NO.1 Oregon

”We know how tough it’s going to go on the road and play the No. 1 team in the country. But I promise you this, nobody is worried about getting on the plane to go play. We have a good football team. Oregon is one of those teams that’s talented in all three phases. This team can play up to our opponents. We’ve gotta play smart, play together, and execute.” the veteran coach of struggling Maryland sounds all but dubious about how narrow his team looks in front of the league topper Oregon.

Rather, he and his boys are just taking it as a motivation. When asked about his takes on the numbers the Ducks racked up throughout the season, Locksley said they are a good team and very well-coached in all three phases. But if the question is about being extra careful about their position in the chart, the opponent coach said they are just treating them as the next big challenge on their platter and nothing else.

However, he still has some points to watch out for and one of them is focusing on avoiding third downs on offense against the unfathomable Duck defense. Locksley has enough experience on how the longtime coordinator functions and wants to commit no mistake on that.

It will be interesting to see if the Terrapins make history against the Ducks on a tumultuous week 11. What’s your take on Oregon vs Maryland game announcers? Let us know in the comments.
