On the other hand, a few of them are still struggling to secure their first victory. James Franklin’s Penn State Nittany Lions secured their second victory over Bowling Green in the second week. But unfortunately, the team didn’t celebrate the 7-point victory as they struggled and had to dwell on a narrow win. While Penn State is working on its mistakes. Kent State is still struggling to find its foundation this season. The Golen Flashes are among the teams without a win.

No. 10 Penn State will be seen in action on Saturday. James Franklin’s team will face Kent State, which is looking for its first victory of the season. Although Franklin’s squad secured their second win on 7th September against Bowling Green, it was a neck-to-neck competition. Bowling Green racked up 286 yards of offense in the first half. While Penn State racked up 236 and trailed 24-20 at halftime.

Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen rushed for over 100 yards. The 34-27 victory did not impress head coach James Franklin; he is concerned about his defense. The missed tackles and major communication issues that took place in the wide-open first half.

CBS Sports reported Franklin’s comment, “We were trying to rely specifically on the headset communication, and at home that can be a little bit more challenging with the linebacker trying to verbally communicate to all 11 guys on the field.” It is clear that Franklin and his staff are emphasizing the need for better communication on the field.
