Can Georgia maintain their dominance, or will Kentucky pull off a shocking upset this weekend?

After back-to-back victories, the Georgia Bulldogs look aggressive in the 2024 season. On the other hand, the Kentucky Wildcats have lost one game against the South Carolina Gamecocks and need to buckle up. The Bulldogs and Wildcats will face each other in Week 3 of this season.

September 14th is going to be a big day for college football fans. Georgia, which holds a 2-0 record, is all set to face their former quarterback Brock Vandagriff. He was part of the national champions when they won consecutive championships. Brock, who made an early impact with the Wildcats, started the first two games, currently 1-1. The game will be telecasted on ABC. Three accomplished announcers for the game will be Sean McDonough, who will handle play-by-play. Greg McElroy will serve as an analyst, and Molly McGrath is said to report sidelines.

Before a big matchup, Georgia’s head coach Kirby Smart said, “We’ve got to prepare for a tough, really physical game, which is that way every time we play Kentucky.” Smart’s comment highlights the Bulldogs’ vision against Kentucky, which is to dominate the game and win the third game continuously.

Last year, Todd Blackledge decided to join NBC for its Big Ten coverage. For the 2023 season, Blackledge was a color analyst for NBC’s new Big Ten Saturday Night package. That season, he worked alongside Noah Eagle. They also served as the No. 2 play-by-play team for the NFL on NBC and broadcasted the Bengals-Steelers game in Week 16 and the Browns-Texans Wild Card game. Soon after Blackledge joined NBC, Sports Illustrated reported that Greg McElroy had been promoted to his place and McElroy would join play-by-play announcer Sean McDonough. McElroy has been working as an analyst for seven years. He has been working with Joe Tessitore for the last three years and has signed a long-term contract with ESPN. Being a former NFL player, Greg McElroy plays a prominent role as an analyst. His deep understanding of the game helps him stand out from the other announcers.

Sean McDonough works for ESPN and the WEEI Boston Red Sox Radio Network. He brings a lot of experience to the table by doing play-by-play for all of the major professional sports leagues in the country. He will be an excellent choice for Georgia vs. Kentucky because of his ability to convey the emotions of the game. Viewers have continuously listened to him for a long time, and they are very much aware of his style.

Molly Anne McGrath, who will report sidelines on 14th September, is also a known face in the media house. She has been nominated for a Sports Emmy and is currently working as a sideline reporter for ESPN’s college football and basketball broadcast channels. The combination of all three announcers will not only bring a lot of experience, but their in-depth knowledge will be a treat for the viewers.
