The Miami Hurricanes are all set to face Virginia Teach in their upcoming college football game. Miami head coach Mario Cristobal says they need to be “focused” and not overlook Virginia because they can give shockers if you let your “guard down.” Besides, Virginia Tech head coach Brent Pry says his boys are in full form to win, but he referred to Miami as a “strong” team. Besides, let’s get familiar with the voices we are going to hear from the commentary.
We will be listening to Anish Shroff, who will announce the game play-by-play, Andrew Ware, an analyst and commentator, and Paul Carcaterra. Added to that, there are a few interesting facts about each of these guys. We’ll start with Anish Shroff, who has a long history in this field. Before joining ESPN as an announcer and host, he did a reality show called “Dream Job” back in 2004. After that, he was featured as an anchor, talk-show host, and play-by-play announcer for radio channels and sports news channels. In March 2022, Shroff became the play-by-play announcer for the Carolina Panthers.

Next up, we’re going to listen to ESPN’s Paul Carcaterra, who is not a new name in college football. Because he has been in the industry for a decade now. He joined ESPN as a lacrosse game analyst and sideline reporter back in 2010, and he’s an expert in providing fans with behind-the-scenes access. Apart from that, let’s look at the details of this week’s five games.
Which team will win? Miami Hurricanes or Virginia Tech?
The Miami Hurricanes will have the upper hand with an undefeated 4-0 start compared to the Hokies’ 2-2 start. On September 27, Friday, Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, will witness this year’s long rivalry matchup. Since their time in the Big East, they have been facing each other every year from 1992 to 2022.

The 4-0 record does not tell you anything about the Hurricanes’ dominance so far! The offense has been on fire, scoring more than 40 points in each of their games. The number crossed 50 in three of their four games. Their 52.3 points/game average puts them no. 5 nationally. Naturally, QB Cam Ward is getting all the praise and some recognition in Heisman Trophy conversations.
Virginia Tech has had an iffy start to its campaign. They managed back-to-back victories in Week and Week 3, but things didn’t go their way in a close game against Rutgers in Game 4. Now, they have to climb the mountain of the Hurricanes. It’s not looking pretty, and understandably so!
