The biggest game of the Week 9 college football might just be near you at Kyle Field if you are in Texas. No. 14 Texas A&M is set to host No. 9 LSU Tigers in a clash of surging teams hoping to cement their place as postseason contenders. That said, the Aggies opened as three-point favorites as for obvious reasons, It’s their home. One of the many reasons is the way head coach Mike Elko got the Texas A&M defense to perform each week, despite some struggles in the O line. LSU dominated Arkansas 34-10 last week after a thrilling overtime win against Ole Miss. Tigers Coach Brian Kelly is certain his players will give it their all. “You got to lay it on the table, the great quote, come back bloody or come back on your shield, you got to lay it on the line,” Kelly said. The LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier has already hypnotized Joel Klatt with his calm aura. To an untrained eye, his completion percentage of 65% in the conference might not be too suggestive. But numbers are deceptive, HC Brian Kelly warns, why he is. “The distribution of where the ball goes is much more difficult to defend because you don’t know where the ball is going. It could go to Aaron Anderson, it could go to (Kyren) Lacy, it could go to Mason Taylor, it could go to Daniels.” The signal caller’s ability to pick different receivers unbiasedly makes a ‘full fielded’ threat. Can your QB do that?

For Texas A&M, quarterback Conner Weigman has been a driving force behind the team’s success. Though, he looked shaky in their 34-24 win over Mississippi State and got some passes intercepted. But has also shown his ability to extend plays and connect with his receivers has kept the Aggies competitive in the SEC. In addition, Texas defensive back Marcus Ratcliffe has shown signs of optimism. Ratcliffe has three interceptions on the season. Defense will be key too.
