Can Ohio State's adaptability at Wrigley Field turn their season around against Northwestern?

College football is hitting the final stretch. In week 12, we will see the teams putting on their last bit of effort to make the season memorable. Coming to the Ohio State Buckeyes, they will look to solidify their big 10 sports. Their latest blowout victory over the Boilermakers will give them a confidence boost to topple the opponent with a clear high. However, if you scout through the record, Ryan Day finds a standard to live by. In the last Northwestern vs Ohio State encounter, the Buckeyes walked out victorious (21-7). They steered the game through a tieback situation in the third quarter. Can you expect some similar jolt during the upcoming week 12 clash? Well, if any sort of these happen, a legendary broadcasters team is waiting to catch the vibe and turn it into words.

Ohio State might have suffered a nasty loss against Oregon. Their offensive issues got brutally exposed. But the biggest flex they have is that they have lost it to the No1 Oregon. It isn’t making them any week. Some people criticized that their last week’s victory was quite untested as they scored it against a relatively weak team, Purdue. But then Ryan Day and his team are ready to pull off a masterstroke win, sitting 29.5 favorites against Northwestern. The fight will be solid and you can’t afford to miss the voice behind the mics, the legendary announcers’ duo, Jeff Levering, and Jake Butt.

Levering has some priceless experience as the play-by-play announcer alongside the Milwaukee Brewers. Seasonally, he brings his gift to the BTN and Fox studio for college football. On the other hand, Butt has sportsman spirit running in his veins as he had his years as the prolific Tight End of the Michigan Wolverines before he decided to settle into professional broadcasting with the Big 10. Within a brief period, the former athlete successfully made his name as a notable commentator. We are looking for another sensational commentary session for the upcoming fight at Wrigley Field. However, the venue itself serves another thrill on our plate.

Wrigley, approximately 8.8 miles away from old Ryan Field, has a capacity of 41,649 for baseball games and wasn’t quite accustomed to hosting football games. Since 1938, it held only three CFB events with each involving Northwestern.

How does Wrigley add a different flair to Ohio State’s training method?

But, Day is a veteran. He wears many hats and honed his skills under various circumstances. He previously coached players inside the baseball camp. He’s done so at Yankee Stadium and Oracle Park in San Francisco. Now, as he has to do it again in a crucial week 12 match-up, he sees it as a great opportunity to excel.

To make sure that his boys will cope with the change, Day makes them practice on grass this week to give it a glimpse of what Saturday will bring at Wrigley.

”I’d like for them to see just the makeup of it, I want them to see where the infield is filled in with some of the sod. I’d like for them to see how we’re going to handle halftime. We’re going to be in the bullpen, we’re not going up into the locker room. There are just some different things that I’d like for them to see. And then also show them a little bit about what it’s like because it is going to be different. It’s going to be a different feel there. It’s a baseball park. It’s different than a football stadium.” Day elucidated, breaking down his special plan for tackling the odd venue.
