Can the Buffaloes maintain their winning streak, or will the Utes spoil their Big 12 dreams?

College football weekend is officially closing in some weeks, but that doesn’t mean it’s getting stale. Heading to Week 12, we look to binge-watch a lot of exciting games, including a deciding clash between the Colorado Buffaloes and Utah Utes. While the Buffs faced a hitch in the mid-season, they had a fiery redemption with the last three wins. Ahead of week 12, they sit as a betting favorite to win the Big 12. To live up to the vision, Coach Prime has no option but to continue his winning streak. Simple and straight. For the Utes, they will look to salvage a narrow loss against BYU amidst the injury crisis. So, it will quite be a game to sit still for an hour with. But who will have the mic in their hand to sprinkle the extra spice to the recipe? Let’s take a quick look.

The Utes coach, Kyle Whittingham, usually maintains a level-headed attitude in any post-interview. But after giving it to their age-old rival Cougars, he found it difficult to hide his pale face. Despite heavy emotion running in the veins, The Utes aren’t the ones to hang on to the upset for too long. ”That’s the reality of it. You have to flush it and move on to Colorado and not allow that to occupy your mind and all your mentality and your thoughts to be on Colorado.” That’s the right attitude before taking on Prime Time’s team. It’s the next-play, next-game mentality, vital for succeeding in a highly competitive space like college football.

You can imagine the fire brewing underneath. Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter must continue to pad their stat lines and stop the Utes’ bowl eligibility chase. Who could do more justice to narrate such a striking game than Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt?

The Blockbusters announcers will call the Utah-Colorado game, which will emanate live from Boulder in Fox’s ”Big Noon” and Fox’s national pregame show. OG fans who followed college football for ages owe a part of their childhood to this sensational sportscaster crew. Gus Johnson has set a brand of his own in college football and college basketball as a unique play-by-play voice in a relentless pursuit since 1996.

Joel Klatt had also attained an unfathomable height as a celebrated color commentator and analyst for Fox Sports. But apart from their individual glory, the duo is moving the needle into the booths in their collective Big 10 endeavor. Johnson gave his peer, Klatt, his flower, deeming him a ”football savant” who he believes sits on the same throne with generational coaches like Sean McVay and Norv Turner. That said, Klatt recently became a recurring name in the headlines, popping up in the news for a different reason.

Joel Klatt threw shades on the CFB ranking system

Can the Buffaloes maintain their winning streak, or will the Utes spoil their Big 12 dreams?

Have an interesting take?

As we are living the final stretch of the college football season, the playoff ranking becomes the pivot of the interest of the fans. After weeks of AP poll rankings and coaches’ rankings, the CFB higher-ups released the first set of CFP ranks last week. Guess what? It didn’t sit well with many, including Joel Klatt, the prized commentator.

In the earlier weeks, when Indiana faced constant snubs in the AP Poll, Klatt raised his voice against ‘brand bias’, subjected to Curt Cignetti’s team. Moreover, some analysts have even predicted that it would take Hoosiers just one loss for them to go out of top 12 teams.

Klatt doesn’t seem to understand the modern ranking system. ‘‘Either they have adjusted, and this is the new norm, or we’re going to see wild fluctuations every week. If we see wild fluctuations every week, then the point would be that nobody is safe,” said Klatt, seeing how drastically Cougars and Hoosiers moved up to the list this week even after lacklustre wind. The veteran analyst thinks the trajectory is getting volatile, and the teams fall from grace as quickly and drastically as they rose.

However, for now, he will have all eyes on how the Buffs and the Utes are doing. Shedeur, Heisman Hunter and Coach Prime- wherever you are, don’t miss this matchup against Utah.
