With a Hall of Famer dad, will Moose Muhammad III surpass his father's legacy in football?

Moose Muhamad III, a celebrated name among the CFB people, has had a recent moment of awkwardness in the Texas A&M Aggies game against McNeese State Cowboys game. When one of the opponents’ players’ did nasty to him snatching his mouth guard from the helmet, the 21-year-old put out his aggression and swung at the player right after. Although he closely escaped an early exit from the season’s first winning expedition of the Aggies, the Vikings dished a decent performance, holding 2 catches for 23 yards, 1 touchdown, a long of 20 yards, and 11 yards after the catch. The momentum keeps on rising for the Charlotte native with a lot of seasons left to be played.

But his inception in the dynamic college football world, more specifically, as the Aggies’ key asset in the offensive line, was somehow destined. Reason? Being born to the well-documented NFL legend, Mushin Muhammad II and wife Christa Muhammad.

If you’re a new-age fan, you could be surprised to see the insane moves that second-generation player pulls in during high-stake games. But if you’re a seasoned freak following NFL and college football for a while, you know the source of this gifted prowess. Muhsin Muhammad II, the proud dad of the teen WR, has left a legacy behind spending a heck of 13 seasons in the NFL for the Carolina Panthers and Chicago Bears. The two-time Pro Bowler posted a wholesome 11,438 receiving yards and 62 touchdowns throughout his storied career.

He holds multiple records with the Panthers, including the tag of the first player ever in history to produce two 1,000-yard seasons. He is the second in on the franchise’s all-time list with 9,255 receiving yards and 696 receptions. Every team has a man who can carry an entire season single-handedly, and Muhammad was that guy for the Panthers. “Muhsin was different, man. He definitely, definitely was not a two.” this is how the vice president of player personnel of the Panthers views him.

The caliber of the veteran didn’t stick to the field, nonetheless. After signing off from an active football career, he has been running The M2 Foundation for Kids in a laudable humanitarian initiative. The institution focuses on the holistic development (ranging from the educational, mental, and physical development) of less fortunate kids. He is also a business mastermind, holding the chair of managing director at the private equity firm Axum Capital Partners.

Although there’s not much information known about Muhammad III’s mom Christa Muhammad, the couple led a harmonious life together, raising six athletic kids (two daughters, and six sons) in the family.

Mushin Muhammad II and his wife, Christa Muhammad, the couple settled in Charlotte, North Carolina, seemingly had a long dating life before they tied the knot. While the latter has not been in public eyes quite often, her Twitter handle shows how dedicatedly she is engaged in her kids’ and husband’s sky-rocketing success. ”They all keep me busy’, that’s what the lady’s X bio reads, well justifying the natural assumption that she quite well balanced out Moose Muhammad’s difficulty in taking care of his children properly due to a rigorous schedule. While one was busy setting a high standard for the kids to meet (leading them by example), another one fed them emotionally. A perfect symphony of a family bond.

Consequently, the kids turned out paragons in their respective fields (different sports). Daughter Jordan is a member of the women’s basketball team at Princeton University. Another sister of Muhammed III, Chase, is affiliated with the women’s basketball team at Johnson & Wales University Charlotte. Maddon is a member of the UNC Charlotte Track and Field team. And it will be a redundancy to mention Moose Muhammad III as the Texas A&M genius. The highly affluent family nurtures their bond by traveling internationally together and simply hanging out at home whenever they get free time.
