Leonard Moore Jr., the Notre Dame Fighting Irish wunderkind cornerback, needs no introduction. But, still, Moore arguably has been one of the finest players in the Irish dressing room. Moore enrolled for Notre Dame and entered his freshman year in 2024, which started as a backup. But sooner than later, Moore stepped up and filled in for Christian Gray, who was injured at the time against Louisville Cardinals on 29 Sept 2024. He not only executed inch-perfect 7 tackles, which were the highest in the game for Notre Dame, but also helped the team win by 31-24.

Moore has since been promoted as a first-choice CB throughout the season and played brilliantly. But that’s not the end of his feats. He won the National Defensive Freshman of the Year award from the FWAA and also has been included in its All-America Freshman team. The feat will see him join the likes of very few in Notre Dame history, such as Aaron Lynch (2011), Benjamin Morrison(2022), and Kyren Williams (2020).
