20 miles per hour. That’s how fast Brock Glenn was when FSU went up against Georgia Tech. While FSU eventually lost the match, the kid made his mark with his speed and athleticism. HC Mike Norvell noted after the match that Glenn has had a massive impact on the entire team. The entire chemistry between Glenn and the offensive line has been off the charts, and we saw it as FSU managed to pull in around 193 passing yards during the game.
All of this does make you wonder; What if Glenn had never had that support from his family? Could he land where he is right now? Being a 3-star recruit and one of the top players in the class of 2023, Glenn has had massive love and backing from his dad Chuck Glenn, and single mom Donna Glenn.

Being born in Covington, Brock witnessed his parents slip when he was only 3. However, that does not mean his mom and dad left his side. While his dad was always there, Donna was primarily the one who had inspired Glenn to pursue football. Donna had bought a throwing net for her kid. However, she had never thought Brock would go on to become the No.17 QB prospect in the entire country. Probably the best $200 she had ever spent! It allowed Glenn to satisfy his hunger for the game. The best part about the entire Glenn family is that everyone has been into sports. Brock’s brother was into football too, back when he was in high school.

And Brock’s 3 sisters were into softball. Although the young QB grew up playing baseball with his dad, it didn’t take long for him to switch to football full-time. He sat in his home as the cameras awaited his decision regarding which team he was going to commit and the name that came managed to surprise everyone.

The entire Glenn family has been closely connected to Auburn University. Starting from Brock’s grandfather to his uncle, everyone graduated from Auburn. Heck, Brock’s full name is Auburn Brock Glenn. So it wasn’t a big surprise that Auburn wanted Brock on their football team. However, the kid had different plans. While initially, the 3-star QB picked Ohio State because he was impressed by Ryan Day and the lineage that the Buckeyes had, he eventually flipped and pledged to Florida State back in November 2022.
What’s your perspective on:
Does Brock Glenn owe his success more to his dad Chuck or his single mom Donna?
Have an interesting take?
While Brock was playing at Lausanne Collegiate School, he had already managed to rack up quite the stats. The kid had around 57 TDs and 13 interceptions. However, putting a true freshman on the turf would be a major risk for Mike Norvell and FSU. But fate had different plans. We got the news in December that QB Tate Rodemaker was still suffering because of his injury and had limited time to practice. This was the perfect opening for Brock to get on the field. Norvell had noted that they would go ahead with Brock because of the injuries and issues that Rodemaker was facing. While the starting QB position still went to David John Uiagalelei for the 2024 season, Brock did leave his mark with his speed and accuracy during the game against Georgia Tech. Right now, we gotta wait and see how well the kid does against Boston College.
