A recent collegiate-level player of the Oregon Ducks football team, Dillon Gabriel is one of the competent quarterbacks who has best proven himself in the field. However, the path of the college football star was created back at Mililani High School in Hawaii. Gabriel’s high school career was marked by exceptional academic and athletic achievements, setting the stage for his future success.
While in Mililani High School, Gabriel had proven himself to be among the best athletes and students. He was also regarded as a three-star recruit by most major recruiting services. He was rated the nation’s 15th-best dual-threat quarterback by rivals and the 20th-best pro-style quarterback by 247Sports. ESPN ranked the pocket-passing quarterback and placed him as the No. 31. These ratings confirmed his all-round play and that he was not an ordinary player.

High school had always been memorable for Gabriel and he had been very successful in almost all the activities he engaged in. He was a three-time first-team All OIA honouree while playing football. He played for his High School team for three seasons. He received some of the highest honors; the 2018 Gatorade Hawai’i Player of the Year, OIA Offensive Player of the Year, and Honolulu Star-Advertiser All-State Offensive Player of the Year. During that particular season, he completed 3,754 yards and 40 passes for a touchdown. He was responsible for taking his team to the Hawai’i High School Athletic Association Division 1 state championship game.

Gabriel’s hard work and determination put him on a better future in high school. He was expected to attend and play for Army-West Point but signed with the University of Oklahoma (OU) in January 2022. Working hard has been one of the main hallmarks of his college career, which he demonstrated when in Mililani High School. Dillon Gabriel graduated with a bachelor’s degree and is planning for a master’s.

His father, Garrett Gabriel who played at Hawaii from 1986-90 has been helpful in his football development process.
