After consistently winning two national championships in 2021 and 2022, Georgia’s quarterback Carson Beck has his sights set on winning the third national championship this season. As one of the top QBs at the moment, it is the right time for him to pursue his third title. Beck and his family come from Jacksonville, Florida.
The 21-year-old first planned to play for Alabama, but destiny had its plans, and he landed with the Bulldogs. Before joining the University of Georgia, Beck attended Mandarin High School. His impressive performance in 2018 where he threw for 3, 546 yards and tailed 30 touchdowns helped him to earn the 2018 Florida Mr. Football title and join the elite club which included players like Anquan Boldin, Henry Tebow, Daunte Culpepper, and others. He started his college career in 2020 as a backup and joined Stetson Bennett, JT Daniels, and D’Wan Mathis. Beck represents jersey no.18 and played his first match against Missouri in the fourth quarter.

Beck understands the game better than any other player on the field. He is not only outshining on the field. He is excellent in his academic as well with a 4 GPA which is the highest. With his extraordinary performance, he led his school to the Florida State Championship as a senior. In that game, he recorded 1,843 yards and 20 touchdowns.
Back then, when Boddy Ramsay was his coach, he was invited to the top quarterback camp for the high school players in the 2019 Elite 11 Finals. Soon after his junior year, Beck received four offers for college scholarships and he also got a chance to explore seven different schools and meet their coaches. Cheery on the top was Canes scholarship offer in December 2018 and they also invited him for their Junior Day event which was in February 2019. Unfortunately, just after he visited Miami, the Crimson Tide lost their 2020 quarterback recruit, after seven months of the commitment.

Beck had to face a lot of competition to join the Bulldogs. Last season he was the backup to Stetson Bennett IV, who is a Heisman Trophy finalist. But their head coach, Kirby Smart, keeps faith in Beck’s abilities, and he believes that Beck is the right option for their team.
Athletic Legacy of Carson Beck’s Mandarin High School
Beck’s High School Mandarin offers a variety of sports for both boys and girls for the entire year. During fall which starts in September school offers bowling for girls. Football across the country for boys. With Swimming, golf, slow-pitch softball, and volleyball. Soon after the fall is over in winter the school offers wrestling, basketball, weightlifting, and soccer. In spring the school focuses on ball games like softball and baseball. Lacrosse, tennis, and flag football are also played in spring. Summer in Mandarin is known for marching band programs which are again open to everybody in the school. Marching band programs start in the summer and are carried out till the fall.

He was chosen as the starting QB for the first game against UT Martin at the beginning of the 2023 season. He played extremely well and made his debut memorable by throwing for 294 yards and two touchdowns, which led the team to a 48-7 win. The next week after his debut, again with his exceptional performance, he helped Georgia to a 45-3 victory over Ball State.
He is known for his arm strength among other players and coaches. In the last game in 2023, he again led Georgia to a 12-1 record. He finished the year with 22 passing touchdowns and 3,738 yards. During the Orange Bowl that year, he had a record throw for 203 yards and 2 touchdowns. For the last time in 2023, he showcased his tremendous skills that helped Georgia win by the biggest margin ever, which was a 63-3 victory over Florida State. On the field, Beck is known as a risk-taker who possesses a competitive mindset.
