Is Dallan Hayden the next big thing in college football, or is his rating overhyped?

After a more than ten-year break, EA Sports College Football 25 was released last week, and fans all over the nation have been playing it nonstop. Everything from the biggest rivalries to the team entrances, EA Sports did a fantastic job of capturing the pageantry of the sport. Enthusiasts of college football were able to play the video game three days early thanks to a deluxe version. Not to forget, in the era of EA 25, the Colorado Buffaloes are already a popular team to play with.

However, this year, with an overall team rating of 87, Colorado is well-represented in the game thanks to an excellent 84 on defense and an impressive 89 on offense. Albeit, there are some players who have potential as well as caliber but did not get a desirable rating. Colorado’s running back, Dallan Hayden, exemplifies this.

The Ohio State transfer and four-star prospect got an overall rating of 82 in the college football video game. As per some people, he got the right rating depending on his track record with Colorado and Ohio State. But you know everyone wants to be the best, and so for the star athlete. Not to surprise, he was hopeful of boasting his ranking in the roster through an incredible performance. Let’s take a look at his achievements across on and off the field.

Dallan Hayden’s EA rating evolution

Performance history and market acceptance are the two fundamental inputs for an EA rating, though there are other specific requirements as well. Following such requirements, Dallan Hayden has quite an impressive social media reach as well as a track record. He played in 13 games in two seasons at Ohio State, finishing with 663 yards and six touchdowns. Moreover, with a transfer rating of 0.8800, he is ranked No. 470 overall by 247 Sports. Additionally, as a true freshman, he participated in ten games and received his first varsity O letter. Furthermore, he was twice named the Division II-AAA Mr. Football winner for the Tennessee Titans. Although, the achievements do not end here.

In 2021, Dallan earned the offensive player of the year for Division II-AAA West after rushing for 2,002 yards and 33 touchdowns. In 2024, after entering CU, the star athlete is expected to enter the NIL portal. However, Hayden has a close relationship with Coaching for Literacy, a nonprofit that has raised over $20,000 in donations since its founding by donating money for each touchdown he scores. So, you may be able to understand the work ethic of the star RB. Currently, he is serving Buffs in the 2024 CFB season, helping the team to be a playoff contender.
