Are Jayden Denegal's EA Sports ratings a true reflection of his potential, or just overblown?

EA Sports College Football 25 has risen to much anticipation and has provided a much-needed boost to the gaming world. Being a college sports hub, players all over are interested in the kind of ratings that players of their preferred college players have. One such player is the young quarterback at the University of Michigan, Jayden Denegal.

Denegal might not have gotten into the elite league of QBs like Shedeur Sanders or Quinn Ewers who are hovering in the low 90s ratings; he’s a talent in the making. In College Football 25, the factors that determine the success of a quarterback are awareness, speed, throwing power and other related categories, where Denegal’s ratings could be better, but then again, it simply means that he has the potential to rise and become a better player on the field.

A breakthrough year for Jayden Denegal?

The brightest Denegal is, however, not a serious contender with ratings such as the 93 overall of Shedeur Sanders or Carson Beck. With an overall rating of 74, he has fairly good throwing power and accuracy, which will allow gamers to utilize him to create a dynasty with the Wolverines. “It’s all about getting those reps and putting the work in,” as one sports commentator put it,  suggests that similar upgrades are likely to improve Denegal’s in-game ratings in future iterations.

However, looking at the stats, it appears that Denegal can not boast such numbers as several other EA players. At the same time, it is difficult not to admit that he has a great outlook. Given that Michigan gave out some elite talent in the last couple of years, Denegal is in a perfect system to hone his skills. Also, as for similar previous versions of EA games, one can reach a high-potential player and gain a rating based on real life within a short time.

EA’s player progression system will most likely reflect this as Denegal goes on to develop as a player. While not yet one of the familiar names in the College Football 25, this year could be the best one for him at Michigan if, of course, he performs on the gridiron, lighting up the evening. There are some of the best-dressed quarters currently in the field, and what makes them even more formidable is their power of throw and field sensing, two aspects in which Denegal is expected to record a major boost.

Switching from high school sensation to a major college football program, Denegal’s accuracy on the run and his comrades under duress will be beneficial in the long term. Depending on the real-life permutations and transitional changes by the actual players in the teams, the entire season has to be monitored for any EA sports changes with regard to ratings since strong players are bound to be changed in the games.
