Can Travis Hunter silence Richard Sherman and prove he's the future of football?

The interception made by Travis Hunter, the star player for the Colorado Buffs, against UCF’s quarterback KJ Jefferson, followed by his iconic “Heisman Pose,” quickly captivated fans and became a trending topic overnight. But he is also in the news for his complicated terms with NFL star Richard Sherman as he discusses his terms with him following their big controversy. Let’s see what all that is about.

Today, in a recent episode of the Travis Hunter Show, Travis reveled about his current relationship with NFL star Richard Sherman following their “BLAND” controversy. When asked by the co-host if they spoke after their rift, Travis gave a blunt response to it, saying, “Yeah, yeah, we don’t spoke, we don’t talked about it. Hey, we don’t put that behind us, but yeah. Shirt out, so go ahead and purchase that. Ain’t no hard feelings; ain’t no hard feelings now.”

NFL star Richard Sherman had doubts about Travis Hunter’s dual-game abilities. As the Seahawks icon, Richard took an unnecessary jab at Hunter, saying, “As a receiver, he is kind of bland.” This really affected Travis, as he considered Richard his idol, and receiving such comments from him was quite hard on him. Travis even called out Richard, saying, “Stop speaking on me and let me play football.” However, Travis made sure to get his revenge on him in a perfect manner during the Colorado Buffs game against the UCF Knights. As he arrived at the FBC Mortgage Stadium, he was donning a t-shirt that had the word “Bland” printed on it.

Travis Hunter and Richard Sherman weird dynamics

It’s quite surprising to hear Travis Hunter’s recent comments about his relationship with NFL star quarterback Richard Sherman, especially after they resolved their misunderstandings. Following their recent controversy, the head coach of the Colorado Buffs, Deion Sanders, attempted to resolve the issue by reaching out to them via a phone call. After which Richard completely dismissed their controversy by posting a tweet on X saying, “Just had a great conversation with @TravisHunterJr. I appreciate you, @DeionSanders, setting that up. Huge fan of that young man and grateful to be able to clear that up.”

Even Travis Hunter mentioned that everything is sorted between the two of them on Well Off Media, saying, “He didn’t mean for it to go out that way, that type of no-negative energy.” Furthermore, Richard confirmed on Twitter that they will soon be collaborating on his YouTube channel, The Richard Sherman Podcast, saying, “He will be on the podcast soon, and we will have it.” However, Travis Hunter’s unbothered response towards Sherman shows he doesn’t care much for his relationship with him after calling Richard his idol.
