Travis Hunter capped off his Colorado stint with a loss. Yes, it is not something to be proud of, but he has enough under his belt not to be ashamed of, either. Two-way Colorado star signed off with a spectacular Heisman trophy, a remarkable season, and a bowl-game eligibility. He caught four passes for a game-high 106 yards and a touchdown and left the building like a tragic hero. A bittersweet moment for Coach Prime and each of the Buffs fans! But the trollers didn’t get a chill as they found another loophole in the pail. The camera spotted Travis’ finance, Leanna Lenee, nowhere during the bowl and continued poking at his love life.

The QB didn’t go for a tweet protest or anything to stand up for his girl, but his post-game viral photo put the controversy to the rest.

You can always stand by your loved one’s side without making it a big deal. A leaked clip of Hunter leaving the venue with his girl and her brother after a defeat echoed the same and put the so-called trollers to rest.

The video showed Hunter with people leaving the stadium with the crowd loudly cheering for his attention. A kid came over and waved a hi, but the athlete might not be in the right mood to reciprocate the love. The unforeseen last defeat of his collegiate career might be the reason. You can see people making another anti-Hunter assumption out of it in the comments, but that doesn’t matter.

Travis Hunter and his beau have been facing the other side of building a strong public image 24*7. The lovebirds have never shied away from flaunting their quality moments together. However, the nasty trend of social media lunatics jumping on and attacking players’ personal lives, whenever they fail to deliver on the field, started to take over Hunter and his fiancee’s lives. Hunter has been the cornerstone of his team, but he had his slump, too.

After a mid-season injury, the phenom went a bit mellow and committed some blunders during the games. Fans directed their antipathy to Lenee and never hesitated to drag her down in the mud. Hunter and his girl several times raised their voice against the unnecessary assail. But nothing helped. Again, fans turned on Lenee for not being by her man’s side in Alamodome during the BYU clash.

Fans have crossed all their limits, criticizing Lenee in recent times. She was seen dancing and posing with another man after her controversial Heisman ceremony gesture. No need to say that all these claims and rumors are exaggerated and make little sense.

The couple came to a decision and temporarily deactivated their social media handles this week. Lenee appears to have followed Travis, who took the step first. However, before disappearing from the virtual media, Hunter clears the air about a huge misconception over an incident in the Heisman trophy ceremony.

They say never believe what you see on your phone screen. You need to have a good level of maturity to know that it’s true. Social media theories are decisive. In Times Square, New York, when Travis received the coveted honor and took some snaps with a female fan, fans spotted Lenee sitting afar and looking down with an upset grin before asking his man, ‘What do you want me to do… I’ll just sit here then.’ Hunter apparently told her, ‘You could go to the hotel, you can walk around…’

Internet pundits immediately linked it up to a potential breakup. A week after, Travis broke the silence, noting,  ‘When we were sitting down and I was at my pop-up shop, we were talking about my family,”

“What was they gon’ do while I was in there signing stuff? I had all my family there, and that’s why she said she gon’ stay there, so they can get stuff… [and] have fun there. Some of them wanted to go back to the hotel, some of them didn’t.” He added: ‘I know what I got, I know my girl. My girl has been with me for five years, y’all are just now starting to talk about me and just now starting to be with me.’

The good part is Travis is back on social handles after a repeated fan plea and looks forward to paying a deaf ear to all the negative voices out there.
