It can trigger attention from the most unexpected places—evident by US Senator Cory Booker’s record-breaking feat where he gave a 25 hours and 5 minutes long speech, as a sign of protest against the Trump administration’s policies. Notably, his long hours of standing broke the set record previously held by Former Governor of South Carolina Strom Thurmond’s 24 hours and 18 minutes-long speech in 1957.

Booker’s team reportedly made sure the politician never ran out of things to talk about, preparing 1,164 pages of material for him to reference during his all-nighter. By the end, Booker had gained over 700,000 followers on TikTok, and over 350 million likes on the livestream. “I definitely started cramping up from lack of water. In the end, I was just trying to do something to stop my muscles from cramping,” the politician, who once received a football scholarship from Stanford University, admitted to CNN.

Having said that, while most football fans know Warren Sapp, this time his eldest daughter, Mercedes Sapp, a.k.a. Cede, decided to attract the public eye. In her IG story, she shared the video of Booker’s feat and mentioned, “For those who watched Scandal. THIS IS THE LIVE ACTION OF MELLIE FITZ FIGHTING FOR WOMEN’S RIGHTS… and she WON after being there for hours, but not 24😮‍💨.
