Can Shedeur Sanders silence the doubters and lead Colorado to a historic playoff run?

They are irrelevant in the big picture of college football.” Boy, oh boy, have the tables turned. Deion Sanders has taken the CFB world by storm. Coming off of a 4-8 season, no one had thought that Coach Prime and his team could even go past 5 wins for 2025. But here we are. Standing on 7-2 with 4 back-to-back road game wins, the Buffs are officially in the 18th spot on the AP Week 12 Polls. This is wild. The entire Texas Tech game was a spectacle. And if you thought Travis Hunter was the big factor in this game as well, then think again cause Shedeur Sanders was a different breed on that turf.

And it is all thanks to the refs. Back on X, GUCCE shared a clip of Shedeur being asked by the refs to change into his pregame warmups. Warren Sapp commented, “Nothing but Gas for the Fire!” and this was nothing but the truth. Yes, we do agree that the Buffs had a slow start to this game. With the Red Raiders grabbing a 13-0 lead in the first quarter itself, people had thought that Deion and his boys won’t be able to make a comeback. But it looks like Coach Prime is taking lessons from the Bulldogs and their style of making comebacks from the 2nd half cause the entire Buffs rush game and the defensive line STEPPED UP.

Shedeur Sanders got in 291 yards under his belt along with 3 TOUCHDOWNS. 0 interceptions were thrown that game and Shedeur managed to lock in with a completion rate of around 69%. It is wild that people still think Colorado is faking Shedeur’s stats. This guy has gone above and beyond to carry his team to win.

Remember Kansas State? Shedeur got in 3 touchdowns back then as well. Yes, we do agree he had 6 sacks that showdown but you can pretty much blame it on the entire offensive line not acting right again. It is weird that First Round Mock claimed “Shedeur Sanders’ stats at Colorado are misleading”. Regardless, this was the perfect game to rub it all in the face of the haters.

What’s even better is the fact that Deion may have just secured himself a playoff ticket. See, after the win over the Bearcats, the Buffs were on their way to the Bowl. Now, they need a 10-2 run to crack it into the CFP. With 3 more games left, Deion Sanders could easily hit that target.

Road to playoffs for the Buffs

Have an interesting take?

See, the first headache will be Utah. Now the Utes are having it rough. With 4-5 to their name, the entire offense and defense has been all over the place. That, paired with the recent referee issue during the BYU game, shows that HC Kyle Whittingham is not having fun. Let’s be honest, this should be a stat-padding game. Based on how Coach Prime and Co. have performed against the Bearcats and Red Raiders, this should be easy.

But then comes the main problem. The Jayhawks, despite losing 6 games this year, have still managed to be a menace for their ranked opponents. They almost managed to snag the win against Kansas State at 27-29 and they have managed to give the Cyclones quite the game. Iowa State was on a 7-1 run, and Jayhawks added to their 2nd loss of the season. This is one showdown Deion Sanders and Co. have to be careful with. That aside, the road to the big league is more clear than ever before.
